Passages

April 21, 2009

Another  year

drifts past

with friends,

costumes,

shared food

and laughs,

drifting off

to streets

flooded

with excitement,

children,

memmories

of candy,

and age

steadily

moving

forward.

  1. Yeah, I think it’s the memories that make the difference – this is so cleanly executed.

  2. I love the images your created here. Great poem.

  3. nice one..memories are special…even the bad ones at times get beter with time

  4. The shape of this poem is very interesting. It reminds me of a stream flowing along.

  5. In hindsight I realize my childhood was this tumbling forward at a pace I mistaneingly thought wasn’t moving fast enough. I don’t necessarily want to go back, but I do wish I had paid more attention to the moment. Enjoyed this. Thank you.
